Notable actor from Mollywood, Biju Menon, stepped to Kollywood a few years ago, when the opportunities in Malayalam became lean.
The handsome actor who was popular in Mollywood playing heroes in hit films like 'Mazha', 'Madhuranombarakaatu', ‘Meghamalhar’, ‘Sivam' and 'Achanayaananikku Ishtam' was in Tamil, offered more roles which had negatives shades.
Biju Menon didn't complained but did the best to make his over pitched roles in films like ‘Agaram’, ‘Thampi’, ‘Majaa’ and ’June R’, look natural.
The actor, who had just completed another villainous role in ‘Arasangam’, is now offered a big role in the new film directed by Prabhadeva after the super hit ‘Pokkiri’.
Biju Menon will take on Illayathalapathy Vijay in this new film tiled 'Singam'. The movie produced by Ayngaran international will start its shoot by June.
Biju Menon who appeared in a family friendly role in the recent Malayalam release ’Mulla' is now getting busier in Mollywood. He has a number of films lined up as the lead hero including ‘Pathikar’, ‘Parayaan Marannathu’ and ‘Vilaapangalkkappuram’.
He will also be on a pivotal role in AMMA's 'Twenty Twenty'.
She is the hottest heroine in Malayalam today. She is the hot and sexy Swetha Menon. She is now all set to enter Telugu with the film Rajanna.

Prithviraj is said to be the first choice to act as the villain in Mani Ratnam's new untitled film starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai and Vikram. Prithviraj is trying to be different on a villain role for a second time and also because of a big reason--one which every actor in India considers as a worthy one- Mani Ratnam.
Though he entered Kollywood playing a villain in 'Kana Kanden', hit films like 'Paarijatham', 'Mozhi' and 'Vellithirai' have now given him an image of a soft hero. Mainstream actors usually won't try doing a villain role and damage their image of a hero that they have attained after much hard work.
News is that Mani Ratnam has almost finalized Prithviraj to play the villain role. And when it is a Mani Ratnam film, little do actors care whether it's the hero, the villain or the supporting role. Remember Mammootty, who was in a lead supporting cast in Mani Ratnam's 'Thalapathy', which gave a big landing to the actor in Tamil.
Seems Prithviraj is also expecting some thing similar or better than that through this Mani Ratnam flick.

It may sound strange but many comedians have expressed a desire to play villain roles. The comedians are very popular for their comic roles but some of them want to act as a villain, in at least one film. Brahmanandam, Ali, Sunil and others have said in public that they are looking for a chance to play villain. Each of them also is very particular that they would like to play a hard-core villain and not some joker kind of villain.
Sunil seems to be first of the bloc as far as villain roles are concerned. He has acted as a hero in a film. He has now bagged a big role as a full-fledged villain in a new film Sunil promises that the role will be like a mother of all villains. The actor will play a hardcore criminal in the film. Work on the film is likely to start in June.

The grapevine is abuzz that Vijay’s next Prabhu Deva directed untitled film for Ayngaran is going to be a remake of a Bollywood film. Has our ‘Ilayathalapathy’ changed tracks? Normally the source material for his films is Telugu mass masalas.
Industry sources say that Dharani had brought the remake rights of the Telugu Prabhas film Chatrapati , and made it the second half of Kuruvi. Now that it has backfired Vijay for the time being is going north.
Remember that arch-rival Ajit’s Billa, may be a remake of Rajinikanth’s 1980 Billa, which itself is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1978 Don. And Ajit’s under production Aegan directed by Raju Sundaram is said to be the Tamil version of Shah Rukh Khan’s Main Hoon Naa. The original was produced by Eros Entertainment, who has a tie-up with Ayngaran, the Tamil producers.
The latest we hear is that Prabhu Deva’s new film with Vijay is said to be sourced from Abbas Mastan directed Bobby Deol- Preity Zinta action super hit Soldier (1998). It is an all out action film that was shot in Australia and New Zealand, and tells the story of a son’s mission to seek revenge on his father an army officer killed by enemy forces and traitors.
Soldier remake is ideal subject for Vijay as it has action, sentiments, steamy romance with peppy songs. The new Vijay film is going to have music by Devi Sri Prasad, Dasavatharam cameraman Ravi Varman will be the cinematographer and it is likely to be shot in Austria, Italy and Switzerland. Nayanthara will play the role done by Preity Zinta and Biju Menon will be the main villain.

Versatile actor Prakash Raj is in the news for the wrong reasons. The actor is reported to have been dropped form the film Athidhi. He is playing the role of villain in the movie. The reason being cited for this is his non-cooperative attitude of the actor. He is said to come to the sets very late thereby disrupting the schedule.
He is also known to go missing for days on end, keeping the actors and the technicians on tenterhooks. Hero Mahesh Babu is reported to have resented his casual attitude and it is said to have asked the producer to drop Prakash Raj from the film. So a new villain Sushant Singh is now going to play villain in Athidhi. Sushant made a mark in Tollywood with his role in Dubai Seenu.
